mwbqLaplap (a volte scritto mwbglap lap) è il piatto nazionale di mwbwVanuatucite-ref-1[1]. Questo si prepara grattugiando le radici dell'mwdaalbero del pane, delle mwdqbanane, del mwdgtaro o dell'mwdwigname, fino ad ottenere una pasta vegetalecite-ref-2[2]. Questa viene poi avvolta in mwfafoglie di banana e cotta con mwfqcrema di cocco in un forno sotterraneo di pietra. All'impasto si possono aggiungere carni come mwfgmaiale, mwfwmanzo, mwgapollo o mwgqvolpe volantecite-ref-3[3].
